What We Believe

Grounded in the Word. Empowered by the Spirit. Committed to Holiness.

As a local parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Living Water Assembly for All Nations, we share the foundational beliefs of the global RCCG family. We are a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled, and holiness-driven congregation.

Our faith is not just a set of rules, but a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Below is our comprehensive Statement of Faith, which guides our worship, our teachings, and our daily walk with God.

The Full Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate rule for our faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

2. The Godhead We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal, co-eternal, and worthy of all praise and worship. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

3. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ: in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, physical return in power and glory. (John 1:1-14; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:15)

4. The Fall of Man We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through disobedience (the Fall), he incurred both physical and spiritual death, resulting in a sinful nature. All human beings are born sinners and are in need of salvation. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)

5. Salvation We believe that the only way to be saved from the penalty of sin is through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through genuine repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, resulting in the new birth (being “born again”). (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:3-5; Acts 20:21)

6. Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper We believe in the ordinances of the Church:
  • Water Baptism: By immersion in water, for all who have truly repented and believed in Christ, as a public declaration of their faith and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36-39)
  • The Lord’s Supper (Communion): The partaking of the bread and the cup in remembrance of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, until He comes again. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
7. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience subsequent to the new birth. It endues the believer with power for life and service, and for the granting of spiritual gifts. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46)

8. The Physical Evidence of the Holy Spirit We believe that the initial physical evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, as experienced by the early church, is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:45-46; Acts 19:6)

9. Sanctification and Holiness We believe that sanctification is the process of being set apart for God’s use. It begins at the new birth and continues throughout the believer’s life. Holiness is our lifestyle. We believe that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord, and we are called to pursue it daily through the power of the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16)

10. Divine Healing We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel and is provided for in the atonement. Healing from sickness and disease is the privilege of all believers today through prayer and faith in God’s Word. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16)

11. The Church We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all born-again, Spirit-filled believers across the world, with Jesus Christ as the Head. We are commissioned to preach the Gospel to all nations. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 28:19-20)

12. The Second Coming of Christ We believe in the literal, physical, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This “Blessed Hope” is a vital truth that motivates us to live holy lives and urgently evangelize the world. (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 1:7)

13. The Millennium We believe in the literal thousand-year reign of Christ on earth, where He will establish peace and justice before the final judgment. (Revelation 20:1-6)

14. The Final Judgment We believe in a final judgment. The saved will be rewarded according to their works, and the unsaved will face the Great White Throne Judgment, resulting in eternal separation from God. (Revelation 20:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10)

15. Heaven and Hell (Eternal Destinies) We believe in the reality of Heaven and Hell. Those who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior will spend eternity in the presence of God in a New Heaven and a New Earth. Those who reject Christ will face eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 21:1-4; Revelation 20:14-15)

Our Distinctive: A Lifestyle of Holiness & Mission

More Than Just Beliefs—It’s Our Lifestyle

At RCCG Living Water Assembly, our beliefs directly drive our actions. Because we believe in the reality of Heaven and Hell, we are driven by our global mission: To make heaven, and to take as many people with us.

Because we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to fervent prayer, night vigils, and faith clinics. And because we believe in sanctification, holiness is not just a doctrine we preach; it is the lifestyle we live.
